Currently, Aumsville Community Theatre is situated in the Macleay Grange Hallout in the foothills farming country east of Salem Oregon. The hall's stage has been converted to accommodate larger theatre performances and the hall will seat 100-114 audience members. We would like to thank Macleay Grange and its community for taking us in and making us part of their family. In 2011 a mother and her daughter walked into Aumsville City Hall and reserved the Chester Bridges Community Center for a day of auditions. The City was celebrating their Centennial so it was fitting to add a pioneering community theatre. Our first Show "Three Murders and it's Only Monday" was a huge success. The Director Shannon Rempel, and her mother/ Stage Manager, Beverly Wilson, gathered many of the shows actors and crew members to create a Board of Directors. Many of them are still on the Board today.
We have recently been awarded non-profit status by the State of Oregon and are currently beginning our third season. ACT has over 30 dedicated volunteers and members, and we have 7 productions behind us including big named shows such as Harvey, Nunsense the Musical, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Bus Stop.Anyone interested in joining our theatre family, in any capacity is welcome.
